Beware vaccine scams Jackson County Website Scammers try to exploit eagerness for COVID-19 vaccine 21 January 2021Author: Mark Decker, CIO Be wary of emails, online ads, social media posts, or phone calls promising early vaccine access. Scammers know that some people are desperate to get the COVID-19 vaccine ASAP, and are preying on those people. The scammers claim to be able to offer priority access to the vaccine in exchange for money or sensitive personal information. Do not trust someone who wants your credit card, banking information, or Social Security Number in exchange for the vaccine.

There is no cost to patients for the vaccine, and it is being rolled out in phases according to priorities set by the state of Oregon. Paying a fee will not help you get the vaccine faster.
