ROGUE VALLEY, Ore. —After a long wait, Albertsons and Safeway pharmacies in Oregon have received the COVID-19 vaccine.
Those 75 years and older can get it as soon as Friday.
The pharmacy says all but 4 locations received 100 doses.
With a limited supply, the pharmacy is asking for patience and says its supply will increase in the weeks to come.
To sign up or to check your eligibility visit safeway.com/covid-19.
I received this message when I checked the site this morning:
Currently, all appointments are booked in your area. As more vaccines become available, additional appointments will open up. As we work to keep everyone safe, we ask that you please not call your local store; our pharmacy staff will be focused on serving patients and won't have any additional information. This message will also be displayed if the server queue is full and busy serving current customers with appointment scheduling.
